I'm going to a kiddush in two weeks for a boy that is not having a affair during the week. I know in the yeshivish circles people don't tend to give gifts for kiddush only. This boy is more modern. What is done in the Young Israel circle in terms of gift giving for a kiddush? When his mother had a baby girl recently I gave a baby present when we went to kiddush. But I'm not sure what is done for bar mitzvah's. If you do give can you please give me ideas.
