I have been waging my time seeing a pediatrician who's only concern in scheduled vaccinations. I know it sounds stupid but I honestly had no idea that a pediatrician plays a larger role than just administering vaccinations and strep tests. I feel so bad that I believed dr when they told me not to be concerned about real physical and developmental issues. I can go on about all the real symptoms that they ignored or told me I don't need to worry about. But who cares really.
The reason I liked the office was because of their long hrs and walk in waiting room convenient for strollers. I am so upset at myself for letting things go and believing dr that things r ok.
Which practice can I switch to in Brooklyn that will pay attention to my children's health beyond ear infections and strep tests

Ok ok. So I rambled and misspelled. I was upset. Can someone help me out anyway pls. I live in marine park. My current dr is on m and easy 3rd, so not very close. I would prefer a local dr but will drive for a dr who is informed and concerned about his patients well being. No bp pls. I can't handle the driving or parking

I also use the same pediatrician. Are you referring to all the doctors in the practice or a specific one. I only trust 2 in the whole practice with development. Everyone else I barely trust for strep...

There's a Dr. Beit Yaakov not so far from you, I believe in the low East 20s, around Ave. N or so. No personal experience, but he has a good reptuation.

Dr. Abberbock and Zehava.
IME, they are the ones who listen to your concerns and take them seriously. Even though Dr. A isnt nearly as concerned about half of the things I am, he always has offered advice on seeing specialists and has dealt with medical issues in a way that I have been very impressed with. Zehava I find is very thorough and also takes my concerns very seriously.
Ultimately though, as a rule of thumb, go with your gut. A parent knows a child best.
