Is there such a thing as a good child psychologist who would take insurance or cost a few hundred dollars? I'm in northern NJ and the two that came highly recommended are over $3000. That's a little less than what I make in one month and I don't want to starve my kids so I can pay for this.

Not really. We have the same issue. There are some that are a bit less than what you were quoted or you can go to on of the clinics in Monsey. They really have good people working there. Oh wait..,are you talking about testing or therapy? For testing Call the ferkauf graduate school. They have an excellent clinic where the students do the testing but are heavily supervised. My close friend did it and it cost a fraction of what it would have otherwise.
