Does anyone else feel like they just can't talk anymore at a certain point? Between telling the kids what to do, answering their questions, parenting in other ways and getting kids to sleep by the time I'm up to saying shema and good night to the kids I can't talk anymore! My throat seriously hurts at the end of every day!
Is that normal??

No, this is not normal. You are overusing your voice and this can eventually lead to polyps on your vocal cords. Just like a schoolteacher, tour guide or anyone else whose living involves talking all day, you need to learn how to control your voice and breathing so that you do not overstrain. Voice lessons will help if you can afford them and make the time for them. So will keeping yourself well-hydrated and frequently gargling or spraying your throat with warm salt water.
