Does any agency or individual in Monsey provide SEIT/OT/ST/PT/para services for a child who lives in Monsey but has an address in NYC as well? Has anyone successfully kept an IEP thru NYC while living in Monsey (or anywhere outside of NYC) by having a 2nd residence in NYC? I know it's not ideal but my child really needs the help (cannot go to school or camp without it) and we are stuck in Monsey which will cut almost all the services we're currently getting (35 hours/week) if we switch IEP to them. I'm ready to pull my hair out trying to figure this out.... and I'd really rather not drive my little kid to NYC and back every single day. I'm totally willing to pay another rent in NYC and stay there occasionally.

I had the same issue when I moved to money. Monsry has to give you all the services of the current IEP until it is up for reevaluation. I moved in the summer and they had to provide all the current IEP services for that upcoming school year since it was already determined the April before.

Ours was done in February and monsey told me they would only honor it for 6 months. How long does a regular iep last, 12 months?
