my sil gave my kids birthday bags and she put silly putty in teh bags and now its all over their clothes. anyone know how to get it off?

Ice!
It works for gum too.
Just hold an ice pack or ice cube on it to harden it then crack it off. Wash normally after all the large pieces are gone to get whatever may be more embedded in the fabric, just don't rub.

Spray with WD-40 and let stand a few minutes. Scrape excess Silly Putty® or clay with dull-edge knife or metal spoon. Respray with WD-40 and wipe off stain with cotton balls. If any stain remains, saturate a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol, blot the stain and rinse.

Good luck. Happened to me and I tried all the tricks and then gave up. Silly putty is only with strict supervision for kids who can be trusted!
