someone told me this, I just want to verify it. if someone is a salaried worker, then it is illegal to deduct pay if he comes a few minutes late to work. even if it happens often. you can count the minutes toward his vacation days but you cannot deduct a cent. is that true? what type of legal trouble can someone get in if he does deduct pay from someone who came a few minutes late? (ie, his worker makes $60 an hour. he came 10 minutes late so he gets off 10 minutes pay, or $10)

op here. just to clarify-the worker in my example really makes a total of, say, 100,000 per year. but broken down, it comes out to 60/hour. he is salaried.
