Using egg and bread crumbs but the bread crumbs didn't stick so well and its just not looking so yummy. Any ideas on a sauce that I can put on or something like that?

Thanks!

Make Chinese lemon chicken.

I never measure my ingredients, so this is approximate. Just play with it until it tastes good!

Chicken soup mix (about 4 tablespoons)
Corn starch (1 teaspoon)
COLD water (2 cups)
Soy sauce if you want it saltier
The juice of one whole lemon, or use bottled lemon juice to taste.

Cook the sauce in a pan on medium heat, stirring constantly to keep the cornstarch and soup mix from being lumpy. The sauce should be smooth, and coat the spoon. If it's not thick enough, cook for a while longer. It should take 5 minutes to start, up to 15 minutes to really get thick.

I like to add sautéed mushrooms and some chopped almonds or cashews at the very end. Chopped green onions are a nice touch of color and extra flavor.

Serve with white rice, and a green salad on the side.

For the next time, I find the bread crumbs stick well when you pat it on and the oil has to be hot.

For chicken you ideally need a "triple dip". First dip the shnitzel pieces into dry flour; shake off excess, then into the egg mixture and then into the breadcrumbs. That will make the coating stick.

Thanks for the ideas. I ended up putting duck sauce on top and we'll see how it tastes.

Oh, and thanks for the tips on how to make the crumbs stick next time. I never used to have this issue....
