Also interesting to note that the horse's owners are Egyptian Jews who are observant. They live in Teaneck and are spending Shabbos in an RV at the race track to avoid having to drive there.

I'm sure the owners mean no disrespect to the rebbe, but naming a horse after him could definitely be taken the wrong way. Anyhow, I hope they're successful.

The horse is named American Pharaoh. How is that disrespectful to the rebbe?

Oh, the original title of this thread was about a horse named the lubavitcher rebbe. I see it was changed . My bad. Delete my last...
