I decided I want to buy a bumper for my baby's crib.
1) Are the mesh breathable bumpers safer than the plush padded bumpers?
2) Is there a safety difference between 1 long bumper that wraps around the entire crib (and I assume ties at some point) and the bumpers that come in 4 pieces?

Don't know about mesh ones but the plush ones are definitely considered a suffocation/strangulation hazard.

The plush ones are definitely considered a suffocation hazard. I know the mesh ones aren't recommended either, I think because they can still be a strangulation/entrapment hazard.

Bumpers are not safe. I did try the mesh once, and was not impressed. The baby will still bump along the sides.

I'm not buying it to stop her from bumping, but she keeps getting her feet stuck between the slats of the crib and she can't get them out. I thought a mesh bumper would help for that.
