It's OP. Thanks all. To speak to those of you who are wondering at the price--Yes, it was purchased through a sheitel macher "significantly" out of town. I paid 3400. Yes it it a Shevy MB. Let's consider the Imamother, for example, who noted that she purchased a 16 inch about two years ago for 2800--and compare it to my situation. Prices have definitely gone up since then-- it wouldn't be difficult to imagine that they've gone up $200. So now a Shevy MB at that length may cost 3000. And yes, for various reasons, because of my purchase OOT, it was an additional $200. I can stomach that. That being said, I obviously paid top dollar. And just to mention, my current live-in sheitel, also a Shevy, was purchased at Shevy's Brooklyn and cost over 3000 about 4 years ago. So again, these prices are possible. (Justifiable? No. But reasonably possible).
It's also important to distinguish between Shevy's cheaper and better lines.
Thanks for all your advice--I actually think that recutting it may improve the sheitel significantly, I guess I'm just not yet ready to take the chance that I still won't like it (making it more difficult to resell. The current cut is beautiful, will be an easy sell as a precut as it is pretty "generic", just not for me).
On the note of how it must feel to spend so much money on something that did not turn out well... There are plenty of worse stresses in life. No complaints from me! Just trying to figure out how to approach this problem, and I don't believe I'm the only one to have undergone such an experience ;-). I won't be the first and unfortunately not the last.
Anyway, in the scheme of life it's a minor blip. (And no I'm not rolling in dough ;-) ).
