Froze raw chicken, defrosted it an and meant to use it but realized the next day I wouldn't have time to make it and so I put back in freezer.
Then I remembered my mother always told me u can't refreeze raw defrosted chicken because bacteria is dangerous....
Any science ppl know the reality to this?
Do I throw it out?

Just bumping for you. I think there may be hope depending on just how defrosted it was.

Refreezing degrades the quality of the meat or chicken, so it may not taste as good. But there's no safety issue, assuming that you defrosted in the refrigerator.

What Barbara said. If I have to refreeze meat I'll bag it in a marinade before freezing.
