I am looking for a strawberry mango smoothie recipe (dairy). I cannot stand yogurt and therefore am looking for a recipe without it.
I love frozen yogurt but think it detracts from the healthy-ness of the smoothie.
I tried one with frozen strawberries and mangos and ice and milk and it was completely tasteless but an amazing texture and consistensy.
I love my smoothies icy and am wondering if anyone has a recipe where I can still have an icy smoothie without it being watered down by the ice?

This is not very healthy - if that's what you're looking for - but very yum

1 lb bag frozen strawberries
1 lb bag frozen mango
1 lb bag frozen blueberries
2 cups orange juice
2 cups water
5 tbsp sugar

This is obviously a very large amount, so cut it down proportionally

If you are using frozen strawberries then you don't need the ice which detracts from the flavor.
Try adding
frozen banana - it adds texture and flavor. apple - will add sweetness

Try vanilla ice cream instead of yogurt.

we don't have a specific recipe but DD makes delicious smoothies. She just puts the frozen and non-frozen fruit into the blender (strawberries, blueberries, mango, cantaloupe - whatever we have in the house....), adds a little honey, and soy milk almost to cover the fruit - more or less depending on the consistency you like.

She's home now - finals season - and I think I'm gonna place an order at her next study break. Yum.....

If you're using frozen fruit, you don't need ice to make it icy.

If want icier, don't defrost all the frozen fruit.
