You can try Internet searches for the person, but for complete information you might have to pay. I'm not sure there is a guarantee that you can find an individual's date of birth.

Doesn't sound like you need it for gift giving as you make it sound according to the topic you posted, since you say you have the year, and for a birthday gift that wouldn't be important!!!!
Why do you really need it????

A birthdate is an important piece of information regarding identity, and various social security, and government payments, payouts, and all. Also medical records hinge in it very much, because so many people have similar names. Also insurance.
Of course OP means nothing bad and is nice!
But it is still something to be given by the actual person, and nobody else I think. It is private.

If I forget my friend or husbands or kids birthday. I would be too embarrassed to just ask them.
