My eldest son is working at a non religious kosher camp as a mashgiach. No one cares about haschacha there, and give him a hard time about trying to do the right thing. My husband is a mashgiach, and well known for all the knowledge he has. Sadly, my husband has been talking to my son with good intention and trying to tell him how to handle the situation. I keep telling my husband that everything has to come from our son.
He sounds so depressed, fed up, and out of sorts. My heart aches for him. He does not want to mingle with the counsellors at night. Also, my son intends to make alliyah after the holidays. My inlaws feel that if can't stick out this job, how is going to make it in Israel?

I think your son bit off more than he can swallow.
You posted this under teenager, so I'm guessing that your son is in that age bracket. That's a lot of responsibility for someone that is not yet an adult.

He is 18. Late last night he wrote an email going to the head of the chesher he is representing, as well as the director and the caterer of the camp.

Does your son have any exposure interacting with secular Jews?
