Can anyone recommend places to take a toddler who is very curious and into everything. I am off during the summer and want to spend the time with him. Any ideas of like a gym or music class with toddlers, or a swimming place for mom and baby... Or some other ideas? Thanks

Get a membership to the closest children's museum.

Your local library probably runs programs.

Look into local mommy and me groups.

There are indoor play spaces, but it adds up to go frequently.

Parks and playgrounds.

Where in NY are you located for more specific ideas?

Oh, and check out mommypoppins.com

Try the Ability Center in Marine Park. It's a sensory gym but they have open play available to the general public. Then you can go to the sprinklers and/or regular playground in Marine Park itself. http://www.theabilitycenterny......34298

Brooklyn children's museum has a toddler area. So does Kids N Action and many indoor kids' gym type of places (but I don't know specific places but my kids have already gone to three different places with camp).

Prospect park has plenty of large green areas. There's also a few playgrounds there, but I don't remember how toddler friendly they are. Or other parks or large grassy areas closer to you.
