My SIL's 2 kids have motion sickness. They vomit when they travel on planes, buses and cars. We'd really like to have them for Shabbos, but it's so difficult for them to travel. I heard about Sea Bands and I wonder if it's worth getting them and giving them as a present. I also think they'll be nice for SIL when she's expecting, motion sickness aside. (She also has motion sickness, but knows how to keep herself in check.) What are your experiences? Are they worth trying?

My oldest is too little to have tried them on him, but I have used them with partial success for morning sickness relief.

They cost about 1 Dollar (try ebay), so it's really not a major investment to try. They do work for some people but it's very important to find the exact spot that they press on. There are videos on Youtube that explain where but if you know a PT, OT, Dr... who can help you find the exact spot, they'll work better (if you don't find the spot, they won't work at all). You don't have to buy the sea bands brand.

I had/ have motion sickness although not as bad as when I was a kid. The only thing that helped was Dramamine but it can make you drowsy or extremely hyper

When I get them on the right pressure point, I find them hugely helpful during panic attacks, too!
