How many months is it ok to keep raw frozen fish fillets in the freezer. I have one dated March 2015, it is about 3 lbs. in weight.
Also, while we are on this topic, is there a website when I can look up these kinds of things, like how long food is safe in the fridge or freezer. Thanks for your help.

I fish salmon spring and fall. If they are vacuum packed you could get six months. Usually I freeze enough to last 3 mos and then the excess I can.

Food is always safe in the freezer. Only the taste will be compromised if it is in too long.
