Need info about Clifton NJ

I would really appreciate any insight. Im looking into buying a house in Clifton. Im looking for a down to earth, frum, sincere, accepting type of community. Is Clifton like that? Whats the young crowd there like? Also from the outside, it seems that its expensive to live there- expensive houses, tuition, high property tax, food is expensive etc. -Can anyone who lives there weigh in on this? thank you so much!

I used to live there. It's getting big quickly. The bigger it gets, the easier it is to feel invisible but there are plenty of very nice people. It depends how easily it is for you and dh to make friends. We know people who moved in after we did who knew more people then we did faster then we did because they were much more outgoing, we know other people who it was much more of a struggle.

In terms of being expensive- it's relative. We moved someplace much cheaper so yeah our new tuition, mortgage, property taxes etc. are lower now but we moved OOT, not sure where you are comparing it to.
