OK, but they might have the kindness to offer two alternatives, instead of one.
What's it to them. As long as the client is happy.
They are not selling atheism, they are supporting hurt people, in whatever way is most useful. Or that is how it looks, from way over here. I know nothing about this.
They could show some tolerance and grandeur of spirit, and equip those who chose it, to be MO.
That would also require some very nice, accepting MO people.
Exactly how receptive ARE MO people to newbies? You would just need one group. Lincoln Square, maybe. Or KJ. Or something new and intimate.
You can leave chassidus without leaving G-d.
I fully agree that the frum but transitioning are an important population, too, as well as the completely Jewishly unaffiliated. Heck. They're all Jews. Let us not lose anybody.

Chances are good that she was imbibing alcohol. Alcohol depresses the central nervous system, impairs judgment, lowers inhibitions and interferes with physical coordination. Is there no possibility that her death was an accident? Why can't we give her the benefit of the doubt? |
It was a suicide. Apparently, a bartender tried to stop her but she resisted.

You may want to check the NYC newspapers, several had witnesses saying she ran to the edge of the building before she jumped.

She definitely RAN to that ledge, so an accident was ruled out.
However, I'm ASSUMING she was either insanely drunk, or had a nervous breakdown right there, this leading her to jump.
I'm assuming because her posts all over was mostly positive.
She seemed to be enjoying life, her job and food.
It definitely seems like it was a moment of craziness.
Poor, poor faigy.
