GF'ers - raw coconut flour?

I ordered a can of what looked like coconut sugar & put some into my yogurt. Then I realized it was really raw coconut flour. But, being very hungry, I ate it anyhow. (It was not a lot - just a sprinkle.)

Am I going to have a stomach ache? I eat raw coconut - no, I take that back, I usually bake it first if I use fresh. Hm. Maybe that's just to be able to break the coconut. But methinks I have seen raw shredded coconut. So couldn't be too bad, no?

Do you use coconut flour just like regular?

Do you know I want to spell it stomache? What does that tell you?

And I just keep thinking...

Found a peanut....
It was rotten...
Ate it anyways...

The coconut flour can be used in a lot of uncooked recipes. Some people are just more sensitive to it in general, cooked or uncooked. Perhaps raw is harder for some but I never heard of it. It bothers me a little but sometimes it is worth it for me as I don't use a lot of other flours as much. I limit my intake at any one given time and that seems to work.

Thanks, mandksima. I was wondering if I should never touch the stuff again!
I've been off gluten for a few weeks and I think this is the first time my digestion has been really bad.

I guess it will be rice and potatoes today. Some of these flours (almond, garbanzo etc) are tricky. I'm a little scared to try any more new ones!
