Personally I hate when people bring me tchotchkes. How many crystal bowls and platters do I need already? I like if people bring wine or liquor, flowers, or best of all a nice game or toy for my kids.

Anything you think they might love. Some ideas: A platter, bowl, mezuzah case, vase, accent piece, chocolates, or a gift certificate to a grocery store or home accessories store.

And I have tons of toys and games for kids, I always have wines stocked in the wine rack and cases stored, and I love unique bowls and platters (not crystal!). You'll never make everybody happy, but if you know their taste that could help when choosing a gift.
