If I were a girl in camp, I would prefer a genuine chatty letter from my big sister than a cutesy-poo rhyme composed by someone who doesn't even know me. I'm odd that way.

Write a letter first, and then if you want to be cute, rewrite it as a poem.

Maybe op is writing regular/daily letters and wants something different this time. I know sometimes when I want to add a fun letter into the mix for one of my kids, I change colors or write in shapes or spirals. It's less about what is written and more about a loved one putting effort into doing something fun and cute for you. It works best if regular/genuine letters are sent as well.
