Hope it's okay to post here, but I posted in the computers/technology group a few days ago and no one has answered. I figured many people here would like to know (or already know and can share!) this info.
I would like to make a one-day online tehillim group BUT with the option for people to choose their own tehilim. All the "usual" sites (dailytehilim, etc) automatically give each person random perakim.....I have been part of groups that let each person choose, but they were not recent and all were done on a Google spreadsheet.
I'd love something more up-to-date than a Google spreadsheet, preferably that sends an email reminder the day of the tehillim reading
Any ideas?!

Not a site, but if you want to roll your own:
You can create a script that uses a Google spreadsheet as a source. So if you have columns: Name, Email Address, Perakim (which can have a dropdown for which yom and maybe even a validation to make sure that it wasn't picked yet)
then you can have a script that goes through the spreadsheet and sends an email:
Dear [Name]
Please remember to say Tehillim [Perakim] for Ploni bas Plonis
and send it to [Email Address]
I'm not sure if you can schedule the email to be sent out daily or if you have to do this manually.

Hmm... Very interesting. Thank you--that was certainly a solution I would not have come up with on my own! (Now the big question: can I actually do that on my own? Off to ask big DD the computer expert for help).
