In Israel do the refer to the notes as CDEFGAB? I've heard them use "do rey mi fa sol la si do," is that exclusive? How would one say "middle C" (do merkazi?? lol)

Very helpful article imasoftov. I've started teaching piano to a little Israeli girl, and need to check my facts about music theory in Israel. Not exactly like teaching in English!
