Bumping this up again, because I'm ready to attempt this. Has someone had a successful experience using vaseline on the part and the part staying perfectly nice? I have dyed a fall before but am nervous about ruining my only (5 year old) sheitel. But I want confidence that I can do this and not ruin the beautiful part.

I haven't tried it with vaseline, sorry cant help with that.
it was an older sheitel and top part was already ruined
