What can I give as a gift to my friend who just moved into a new home?
Something nicer than a salad bowl!
It can be a new "'type" of dish or something..but not regular simple serving piece.
It can be anything else too of course....
Just desperate for ideas and need to buy it asap cuz going to see her in a few days.
Even better if it's something I can order on amazon prime so it gets here quickly.
Thanks!

Some sort of kitchen toy that she would never buy herself. Have you seen the zuko products? Its fast freeze type stuff. They have a new one that makes iced coffee drinks. We just moved into a new apartment and people asked me what I wanted (well, not people. One person). Thats what I said - a fun but kind of stupid and not really needed but awesome kitchen toy.

Different people appreciate different types of gifts. What do you think your friend would appreciate?

Some ideas:
a plant
a cake plate
a tea set
a gift basket of bathroom stuff like soaps and lotion and towels
one of those birchas habayis signs

Maybe your friend would prefer a service? Often times when people move they are exhausted and/or cash strapped.

arrange for some cleaning help
arrange for babysitting
bring a nice home cooked dinner or give a gift certificate so she can get take-out

If you know the color scheme of her new kitchen you can buy coordinating or complimentary kitchen linen/textiles: dishtowels, potholders, placemats, runner for table, tablecloth, kitchen mats etc. Or new cutting boards, tea/coffee/sugar canisters, kitchen clock, notice board, hanging mail organizer, calendar, new honey dish for Rosh Hashanah.

She moved about a half a year ago but I didn't give her a gift yet and will be seeing her again now.
I like idea of tablecloth.
Where can I get a decently priced one?
I want to spend $30-40 range.
