I just googled my name, which I do periodically. One of the first results was a website called Civic Recognition which claims that I am a recipient of a Civic Recognition Award. It doesn't say anything about me, other than that I was one of the recipients in my city.
I definitely didn't win any award, never heard of this organization, and I'm not someone who's winning any awards. I'm the only person in my city with my first and last name, maybe the only person in the world. One of my names is not common so it's doubtful there's anyone out there with that exact combination.
Is this a scam? If yes, what are they trying to accomplish? Has anyone ever heard of this before? I'm feeling a little creeped out by this.
