I usually make smoothies with a bunch of frozen strawberries, a banana, skim milk, and a little orange juice, it always comes out really good, I don't have exact amounts, but if it's not sweet enough, I just add a little more orange juice and blend it in-enjoy!

one low fat yogurt
1 cup strawberries
2 dates
(if you want it thinner add water/milk)
The dates give it tons of sweetness. Delicious! My kids love it too. I freeze the leftovers for when I want a small frozen treat.

Really any combination of fruits you like, plus yogurt and some sweetener (need not be artificial, I like honey or natural cane sugar but use whatever works for your diet. Or just use sweet fruits and deal with it.)

I find summer fruits work better in smoothies than winter fruits. I like to start with chunks of frozen fruit. (I freeze my own, when it's overripe, but if bought frozen fruit is affordable for you, that's great.) Bananas work best as a base. Add in whatever soft, juicy fruits you can get: peaches, mangoes, pineapple, berries. Fill with lowfat milk to cover, and blend. I usually don't add any sugar or sweetener. Fruit is pretty sweet on its own.

I think I'm OP - don't know why I was anon but I guess I had a reason so I'll stay that way
To the poster that bumped: I started buying frozen fruit in bulk (Costco etc.) and as the poster above said, throwing anything into the blender, any combination of fruit. The package I have open now is a combination of pineapple, peaches, honeydew, papaya, and grapes. I throw about a cup of that, and either just water, or a splash of milk and/or some leftover grape juice from Shabbos, and it's always delicious! Sometimes I'll throw in other random things I have in the house, apple sauce, diced peaches, banana sitting on the counter....

I make smoothies all the time. whatever you want to eat, put it together & blend. voila.
apple, banana & orange. pineapple, banana, apple. pineapple, banana, grapefruit. then if I have at home, I sprinkle pomegranate or cinnamon.
