I do. It can be worth it, depending on how much you travel and what type of time share you get. If you get with a hotel chain I think it's better because you can often exchange week for hotel points. You can also trade between locations they own. I'm not the type to want to go same place every year, but this gives flexibility. You do have to make sure you'll go though, because you're paying for it even if you dont

My in-laws own. They seriously travel all the time. They have a lot of flexibility because they are both retired so they plan and reserve places sometimes a year in advance. They love it. However, younger family with kids in school and jobs? Not so much .

Same for my parents. They use it all the time (last week , this week, next week) all different locations. They're allowed to let family (us!) use points too.
