Hi I'm interested in hearing if anyone went to these places this year for a shabbos?
We're considering either one for a family shabbaton and wondering which is better in terms of crowd, accommodations and food.

Thank you

We spent a Shabbos in chalet. The food was great but the rooms are not so great.
Not a hotel room. More like a bungalow room.

We stayed at the Chalet a few years ago. Got a newer room. Had a balcony, 2 beds, bunkbed, cot and crib. room was clean, bathroom was old. I appreciated that there was no carpet and instead laminate floors felt cleaner to me. Room is very basic, not fancy. I hear older rooms are much worse.
They provide linen and towels. Bathroom supplies (soap, shampoo) you bring.
Food was heimish and plentiful, lots of dips, fish, etc. Not modern or fancy food, but basic and very good. If you want wine or soda I think you have to bring. They provide grape juice and be'er mayim seltzer I think.

Crowd was more heimish with one or two families from Lakewood. There is very basic playground equipment and a pool.

Thanks for replying.
Anybody was there this year? Because I did hear through the grapevine that Chalet did some renovations and I'm wondering what that means...

When I went I was told my room was a newer room that was considered renovated. I know it was a few years ago (probably about 4) but then I was strongly recommended to request a renovated room, and I'm glad I did because I heard the other rooms were not that great.

Chalet is very old. Even the "new" rooms are horrible, old old bathroom. And they're quite expensive.
Lake house is stunning. Also expensive but not horrible.
