Im here from America for 2 weeks helping my daughter after giving birth to her second child. While I love seeing her and the kids, it's hard work and no vacation. I've had a very hard summer with the recent passing of my father and I also have a 10 year special needs child at home. My dh is insisting I go away for a day and night before I come home. He wants me to be taken care of instead of lthe others way around. I'd love to go to the Dead Sea or something relaxing for some kind of massage. Any recommendations? Could be somewhere else too. How pricy is this?

Cramim is gorgeous, as are the other hotels in the chain. For absolute relaxation Yam Hamelech can't be beat. Check www.daka90.co.il/ for last minute deals. You'll have to go to the sea early in the morning or towards evening because it's one of the hottest places in the country.

I have friends who went for such a mini-break to the Shizen (Daniel) hotel in Herzilya.
It was a few years ago so I can't vouch for what it's like now but they had a wonderful, relaxing time.
