My daughter's bat mitzvah will B"H be Nov 15. She is hand delivering the invitations in school (ok'd by school since she is inviting the whole grade).
The invites request an RSVP by Oct 18. School is closed for YK and Sukkos from 9/22 through 10/7. Some families may already be going out of town before then.
I want to send the invitations out when they are least likely to get lost in the busy-ness of the chagim, not too far in advance, but with enough time to respond.
Any idea when to give them out?
Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Thanks agreer. I am concerned that is not a lot of time for people to respond (10 days to RSVP date)

Why not send a save the date type of thing first and the invitations later.

Squishy, that's a great idea but I already ordered the invites and am trying to limit my budget as much as possible.

Can you send a save the date email?
Otherwise just go with the 10/8 handout of invitations.

I would also send the invitations out when school resumes, on 10/8. Don't worry about the RSVPs. If your community is anything like any community I've ever lived in you won't get many anyway. Certainly not from a bunch of (sweet) 11 and 12 year olds.
And what happens on October 18th that you need all the answers by then anyway? Not much.

You can do a home printed save the date handout. I would do it on colored copy paper to stand out. This way the moms also have some advanced notice of scheduling.
