I did a search on here and read all the threads I could about children who are born "climbers". My 19 month old is a very active climber and we have had our furniture anchored to the wall as a protection...he climbs all the time, everywhere, a little higher than last time. My other kids were not like this, I am so unprepared...my question is, how long does this phase last? I know each child is different, but in general? I also know each phase gets replaced by something else...but all this climbing and throwing everything down is driving me nuts!!!

I hate to tell you this, but with my sister's two boys, it lasted until they were old enough to take rock climbing lessons. They mastered all the park equipment by the time they were 3 years old, and then moved on to trees, roofs, and anything else they could reach. My sister gave up, and held a yard sale to get rid of all of her breakables.
