Not really a recipe, but I spray the roast with Pam (original recipe said to spread CRISCO over it) and sprinkle with spices and fresh onions and garlic. I like to bake it over potatoes, carrots etc. but it takes over 3 hours to bake that way.

Really easy. Mix 1 can of cranberry sauce (either whole berry or jellied, your preference) with about 3 tablespoons onion soup mix. Pour over roast. Cook covered at 350 until done (around 2 hours, but depends on size). Cool, then slice and return meat to pan sauce.

OOTBubby, where do you get your dark meat turkey roasts around here? I'll admit I haven't really been looking, but I haven't seen them. My family would love it, and I'm a big fan of anything requiring minimal work on my part!

The only place that seems to carry them is Romanian.
