Is this normal, sending to a babysitter who s/o that uses her tells me that she leaves the babies in the carriage most of the day, until they crawl. I'm not happy about it. It's a group. Is this what usually goes on?

No. Totally not normal. A baby needs to have tummy time. Could lie on a blanket with some toys in front. Even on the back.
I wouldn't leave my baby in the carriage all day
