Hi,
What's the nicest, cleanest Mikvah in Yerushalaim these days? (Near the center preferably)
On a related note, anyone know of a nice clean place to get a mani-pedi in the center of Jerusalem?

You need to make an appointment 2 days in advance for Zayit Raanan, btw.
Strauss has one that is also nice, just be careful not to go into the men's mikvah, which is next door. (My friend did that once. On Friday night. Ultimate in embarrassing!)

ETA--Vanilla Sky in Ramat Eshkol is clean and nice, and English-speaking.

I have gone without an appointment - dunno if they can always be so accommodating it probably depends on the time and day. Yes, they also do waxings.

Bumping this for
1)addresses in yerushalaim
2) fees
3)details for an American with no prior mikva experience in Israel

Need all possible tips you can give me! I'm thinking of postponing as I'm too scared to end up in some crazy situation with balanit yelling at me...

This is a thread from a couple years back.

There is a new one now opposite Shefa, under the building called Banit.
It's super stunning and on American standards.
I think it's the nicest I've ever been too.

Mikvah attendants are also really nice, accommodating and pleasant.

IIRC it's 75 shekel for a bath, and 50 shekel for a shower.

You have to book in advance.
Call up this number: 025004441

They have an English-speaking option and you can get the address on this automatic phoneline with clear directions.

Generally they have q tips, cotton balls, toothpicks, makeup remover, contact lens solution, acetone, and a cheap soap and shampoo on the room and crocs.
When you pay, they give you a towel, ask for a robe too.
There are generally the other hygiene stuff. Mine has a shelving unit by the front desk, another has a table with everything.
You can also buy bedika cloths, ovulation and pregnancy tests there too.

At mine they sell cheap toothbrushes and sponges. I’ve seen those given out at others.
I bring my own shampoo and body wash since I prefer the smell.
There is often a room that you can go to after that has a blow dryer and good mirrors for makeup and there may be some lotion or perfume that has been left there for ladies to use.
At mine there is a hamper for used towels and robes and a basket for nail clippers, combs, tweezers and stuff to be sanitized.
The prep room opens directly into the mikva room, so many won’t bother with a robe.

Thank you!
Does American stands mean the mikva has everything one would need to prepare?

Yes they have everything, and it’s probably even nicer than even an American one. The entrance is a narrow walkway off a busy street. Somone pointed out that I’ll see a lot of flowers and that was my indicator besides the address.

Yes it’s the right number.
Address is Ohel Yehoshua 6b.
Walk through the walkway between Ohel Yehoshua 4 and 6 until you see a staircase. On the right side of the staircase is the door to the entrance.

I had a very good experience at this mikva.
Regarding the entrance - I didn't see flowers, but there were trees in huge pots that were on both sides of the walkway between 2 buildings. You go up a few steps at the end of this walkway and there is a sign in Hebrew and English with instructions to click the last 4 digits of your phone number ( which is what you give when making the appointment).
I had a really nice mikva lady and a beautiful room, that had everything I needed and more.
I have to say, the most stressful part was finding the entrance, because building #6 has a huge parking lot teeming with people, and I thought I had to go through the parking lot to find the mikva. In reality, the entrance is on the side of the building and there is no need to go anywhere near the parking lot.
On the way out of the mikva I was not sure which way to turn and ended up coming out across from osher ad's parking lot.
Hope this helps someone. I know I was helped by this thread some time ago. Thank you, ladies!
