How do I get rid of a fishy smell on my clothing (fish oil spilled on it)

First, rub in talc, corn starch or fuller's earth on both sides of the spot and let set for half an hour up to overnight to absorb the oil. Brush off the powder and rub in liquid detergent. Let stand ten minutes or longer, then wash in the hottest water that's safe for the fabric. Add vinegar to the rinse water. Repeat if needed.
