Its supposed to come about once in a generation.

A total lunar eclipse only happens once a generation? A total lunar eclipse when the moon is larger? All of that during Sukkot?

Lol, we kept a running tally of how many people stopped outside our house to look up at the sky, after they noticed us sitting outside just gazing upwards.

Same here. Neighbors heard us in the street from their succas and came to see the commotion and then got stuck with their heads looking up.

We saw gorgeous red moon. Don't know about the large part.

Does that mean it was the same time everywhere? If so, I just missed it by 10 minutes or so. I was out at 11 and then went in. We're an hour later.

there was a viewing party. my kids and dh and I and some other kids and adults all watched it together, in the beginning my kids kept running to check where the moon is up to, at about 10 we all saw it change.
