I made lachmashin and with the leftover meat, I made like a meatloaf. For yom tov I want to wrap it in a dough with a sauce in it or fried onions. Which do you think would taste better and if sauce, what kind of sauce? TIA

Laham b'ajeen is delicious as is just baked with the dough. A pastry rolled meatloaf sounds delicious. The meat mixture is already saucy and flavorful.

I hope it taste good. I ended up making a pastry dough, put it into a pie shell and mixed the meat with lots of fried onions.

Yo'ma, what was in the meat? I'd love to make just the meatloaf

It came out very good. I also added a little more ketchup and an egg. An egg didn't help it stay together, but it didn't make any difference. I used a mixture of a few recipes including the one ra_mom posted. Too bad, I never remember what I did.
