Anyone know the lyrics to the Chanukah song with the chorus 'so shine on little candle softly softly glow you've the power to enlighten to let the whole world know...'??

There's a light in the window
that shines across the years
It's a light that can't be dimmed though
it may be blurred by tears
There's a light in the darkness
that's lasted for so long
It's the light of the Torah
and those who know her song
There's light in the window
that burns into the night
It's a light that can't be dimmed though
at times we may lose sight
There's a light when you're surrounded
and you need some way to rise
It's the light within the children
and the truth that's in their eyes
Shine on little candles
Softly softly glow
You've the power to enlighten
and let the whole world know
That the light of the menorah
in the temple of your soul
is the light that was hidden
in a garden long ago.
There's a light in the window
that shines across the years
It's a light that can't by dimmed though
it's often blurred by tears
There's a light in this exile
that's lasted for so long
It's the light of a new day
and the coming of the dawn
There's a light in the window
that burns into the night
It's a light that can't be dimmed though
at times we may lose sight
There's a light when you're surrounded
and you need some way to rise
It's the light within the children
and the truth that's in their eyes
Shine on little candles
Softly softly glow
You've the power to enlighten
and let the whole world know
that the light of the menorah
that was hidden long ago
is the light that's always with you
for it's shining in your soul

and here are the correct lyrics according to above although funnily enough I definitely knew there were some Hebrew words in but not in this version - haven't found any other version online though!
There's a light in the window
That shines across the years
Its a light that can't be dimmed though
It may be blurred by tears
There's a light in the darkness
that's lasted for so long
It's the light of the Torah
and those who know her song
There's a light in the window
that burns into the night
It's a light that can't be dimmed though
at times we may lose sight
There's a light when you're surrounded
and you need some way to rise
It's the light within the children
and the truth that's in their eyes
Shine on little candles
Softly softly glow
You've the power to enlighten
and let the whole world know
That the light of the Menora
In the temple of your soul
Is the light that was hidden
In a garden long ago
There's a light in the window
That shines across the years
Its a light that can't be dimmed though
It's often blurred by tears
There's a light in this exile
that's lasted for so long.
It's the light of a new day
and the coming of the dawn
There's a light in the window
that burns into the night
It's a light that can't be dimmed though
at times we may lose sight
There's a light when you're surrounded

Shine on little candles
Softly softly glow
You've the power to enlighten
and let the whole world know
That the light of the menorah
that was hidden long ago
Is the light that's always with you
Oh it's shining in your soul
It's the light that's always with you
For it's shining in your soul

and the other version that I've put together from memory is very different but here goes!!
There's a light in the window
That shines throughout the years
Its a light that can't be dimmed though
Its often blurred by tears
I have searched, I have struggled
Through the emptiness in life
Though the questions may surround me
Their reasons come to light
There's a light in the window
that burns into the night
It's a light that can't be dimmed though
at times we may lose sight
There's a light when your surrounded
and you need some way to rise
It's the light within the children
and the truth that's in their eyes
So shine on little candle
Let the whole world know
Taama Ki Tov Sachra
I have reason now I know
That the light of our Torah
is the only way to go
Lo Yichbeh Balila Naira
Her flame will always glow.
There's a light in the window
that's shone throughout the years
It was a search I found the answers
The Torah's drawn me near
I will never leave the flame that
Illimunates my days
Keep the spark of torah burning
Her reasons and her ways
There's a light in the window
That shines across the years
It's a light that can't be dimmed though
it's often blurred by tears.
There's a light in this exile
that's lasted for so long
It's the light of a new day
and the coming of the dawn
So Shine on little candles
Softly softly glow
You've the power to enlighten
and let the whole world know
That the light of the menorah
that was hidden long ago
It's the light that's always with you
For it's hidden in your soul
So shine on little candle
Let the whole world know
Taama Ki Tov Sachra
I have reason now I know
That the light of our Torah
is the only way to go
Lo Yichbeh Balila Naira
Her flame will always glow.

Yeah me too - the lyrics for that one go something like this: but the songs I found all play it like the above version! wonder who changed it - maybe the summer camps did?!

Thanks to all who posted! What a great song... or maybe I should say songs! This was originally sung on Tz'lil V'zemer's Hooked on Chanukah album. About 20 years ago, I was a camper in Camp Bnos, and an "alma mater" version was created for color war, with slightly altered lyrics. That's the second version that you see on this post. Whichever version you are familiar with, it's a heartwarming song, perfect for Chanukah.
