How do you get fish sauce stiff??

I'm always having a hard time.... My sauce is always runny!!! What's the best way to make it really stiff and thick???

I cook it with pike skin do I need to storage it with the pike skin too??

Pike skin works if you don't use too much water.
I use pike skin and a carp head for great results.
