I am assigned a broccoli kugel for the seudah. I was told to make one 9x13 pan. (I don't want it to be shallow, it is serving many people.) How much frozen broccoli is that?

Yes sorry you are right I had in my head 8 oz per pound, but it's 16. So then I use half the amount of others here. My broccoli kugel has a topping and I also add sautéed onions and mushrooms to the batter so maybe that's why I use less.

Help, my bags are 24 oz! Do I have to divide them? What would happen if I used both bags, too much? Should I just use one? I plan to make ra-mom's recipe, if that makes a dif-

-24 oz. frozen broccoli cuts, thawed and drained
-3/4 cup light mayo
-3 eggs
-2 1/4 tsp kosher salt
-1/8 - 1/4 tsp coarse black pepper
-pinch cayenne, optional

You can use 2 bags (3 lbs), or 2.5 bags (3 3/4 lbs), or 3 bags (4.5 lbs)

I used two 24 oz. bags. It was perfect. I used the above recipe, it was a hit- first dish to go. Smile

I added some flavored panko crumbs to the top before baking.

Thanks everyone!

I know this is an old thread but...

the op in this thread posted her recipe.

I was also asked to make a 9x13 pan of broccoli kugel.

I assume she doubled the whole recipe when she made it with the 2 bags of 24 ounces of broccoli?
