Any ideas? not with too many ingredients, tho. Trying to keep my shopping list reasonably priced. This is only for me and my husband, no company.

Stuffed cabbage or peppers. especially nice if made with brightly colored peppers as opposed to green. Moroccan cigars. Meatballs in sauce. Pretty much any dish in which spiced ground meat is enclosed in some sort of dough and baked or fried. I don't see why you can't make meat loaf if you don't ordinarily serve it during the week. You can jazz it up by piping a crust of creamy mashed potatoes on top.

I enjoy a buckwheat blintz stuffed with ground meat, onions and sauerkraut, fried crispy on the outside. If you must have sauce a good mushroom gravy would work on the side.

Two tone meat and chicken roll
Stuffed peppers (keep the top that you cut off, looks so pretty when you put it back in top for serving)
Shepherd's pie in individual serving dishes. Glazed timbales or individual meatloaf
Meatloaf slices with a nice sauce drizzled over
Kefta beef kebabs
Moroccan turnovers if you have time to make a pastry dough

"Sheperd's Pie"
saute onions (set some aside for mashed potatoes), fresh garlic, (carrot optional) spices.
add in meat and brown. Add ketchup and 1 egg to kilo.
Can add bread crumbs if would like but I don't.
Make mashed potatoes with fried onions.
Layer in pan meat on bottom and mashed potatoes on top.
Delicious!

I make a faux sausage roll. I take ground chicken or turkey thighs and liberally season with rosemary, thyme, marjoram and mix with a couple of ground carrots. I let the mixture sit over night in the fridge. The next day I make a log of meat and roll it up in puff pastry (sometimes I smear the pastry with a horseradish and mustard mix) then I cut it into two inch segments and bake.
