I know this is an old post, but OP, if you're still around- what did you end up choosing?based on what I've read it seems I am pretty similar to you- neither here nor there- and also looking into places in rbs/bs.

Hi there, I am the OP of this thread.
Unfortunately, our aliyah plans fell through...  we are still in chutz l'aretz...
finacnial difficulgties, couldnt find jobs, etc, just too many problems.
my heart is still in EY. we came so close to moving . We had settled on Ramat shilo, in RBS.
In retrospect, a couple of years later, we wonder how we would have found it in RBS as we have heard that it is becoming more charedi than ever. I suspect that we would have been considering a move to Sheinfeld or Nofei hashemesh by now...

I PMd some of the posters on this thread at the time. In particular I remember that slushiemom was very helpful. Maybe PM her to chat about it...
