Hi, does anyone know of any hotels (or any other accomodations) in downtown washington dc that have regular keys? We are planning to spend Shabbos there and are looking for options...Thanks in advance!

There should be some boutique hotels that have both, otherwise here is what I didd.
Put your valuables in room safe and tape your door unlocked by taping. Tell hotel staff in advance, so they don't remove tape. At night you can use chain lock.

Thanks, that's a good idea! I guess that's what I will do if no other choice...

Georgetown Suites.
The Georgetown Suites will place our guests on a low floor and help our guests get into the stairways and their rooms. They also have the following special rates for Kesher Israel visitors:

December through February: $125/studio, $155/1-br suite (taxes extra)
March through July, September through November: $195/studio, $225/1-br suite (taxes extra)
August: $145
If you have any issues booking with those rates, please ask to speak with the in-house reservation office.

Also:The Lubavitsh SHUL has organized a special accommodation rate with The Churchil Hotel, a mere 30 yards away. To take advantage of this special rate, enter "AFLDC" as your Rate Access Code when making your reservation online or mention American Friends of Lubavitch when calling in your reservation.

TheSHUL also hosts a weekly Shabbat Luncheon, every Saturday morning following Shacharit. Please RSVP by
Thrus. 10am. When possible, arrangemenents can also be made for Shabbat Dinner on Friday Night

Agree. I've stayed there over Shabbos and it was great.
