The quickest/easiest is a small package of Osem parve gravy that you make by adding water. I hope you can find it and enjoy! I'm a Canadian poutine lover myself (of course).

Thanks. Can you tell me what the packing looks like?

Cheese. But shwarm sounds delicious also. If you have a recipe would take both. Thanks.

2 cups cold water
1 pouch “serve a gravy” or parve gravy mix (I know MSG-land, but it’s worth it
2 tsp parve consomme powder
1lb potatoes, cut into french fries
5oz. mozzarella cheese, grated
1. In a small saucepan, combine water, gravy mix, and consommé powder. Bring to a boil; cook until thickened.
2. Meanwhile heat oil to 365F. Add french fries and fry until light golden brown, about 5 minutes. Remove fried from oil and divide between two bowls. Sprinkle immediately with cheese and top with (lotsa) gravy. Allow 1-2 minutes for cheese to melt and serve.
*I added some spice to mine with mini dried chile peppers for some extra heat.

(in English it's called "consumme sauce")
Enjoy!

Parve basic gravy is really easy to make. Start with a little fat (oil, margarine, or butter if going dairy) and flour, whisk and cook over low flame. Slowly add in parve broth, whisking constantly, till thickens. You can add different things to help flavor it. Soy sauce is great, as is nutritional yeast.
That's basically it. I make this for gravy in general and have done poutine with it, too. Very yummy.
