I would like to buy down winter coats from gap. They currently have a pre-thanks giving sale, 50% off!
I'm on a tight budget. Should I wait for cyber Monday and possibly a better deal, or do I risk them running out of stock? I like a specific color and will be upset if it runs out, on other hand don't want to spend if its gonna get a lot cheaper. Experienced shoppers please chime in!

It probably won't get cheaper. It will also likely sell out. The style I wanted already did:(

In my experience, it won't get a lot cheaper. But it's very likely may sell out. I would get it.

You can always re-order if it goes cheaper. And return the one you got now.

Buy now. I had 3 items in my shopping cart online yesterday... And when I went to purchase them today they were all sold out in the sizes I wanted.
I don't think you'll find much better than 50% anyway.

OP, thanks for mentioning!

Sorry to hijack, but does anyone know how gap's sizes run? I am remembering that they run big, but I don't want to order too small.

If my daughter wears an 18 months in Carters, should I buy 12-18 mos. or 18-24 mos.?

Sometimes pre thanksgiving sales are better or almost as good as black Friday / cyber Monday.

Buy now and you can get a price adjustment for two weeks if the price goes lower.

Yes. Call customer service and give them your order number.
You can even do it before the items get to you

I think they run accurate. But gap offers free return shipping, so you can always order 2 sizes and return what doesn't fit.

I'm in Israel. I can't return. I really want to know that it will fit. I don't want to risk it being big either. I have plenty of the next size up just hardly any in her current size and need more. I can't decide btw 12-18 mos. or 18-24 mos. On the size chart, for height she's borderline. But if it runs big, I want to size down.

If you're debating between 18-24 and 12-18, get the bigger size. She'll outgrow it before you know it anyway.

(I think the sizes are accurate, but they're definitely not on the big side.)

Thanks! But I am davka looking for something that would fit now. She's not outgrowing clothes quickly anymore. Her build is very thin so if I get pants that are too big, I roll them up the whole day or she's tripping on them. (And when they're so big they unroll...)

Do you have any experience w/ Carters vs. Gap? B/c I've heard that Carters runs big. If that is the case, maybe 18-24 mos. would fit?

Amother - go to gap in Israel and try on a coat or two to see which size fits.
I generally find that gap runs big so I wouos take the smaller siZe but when I did that once (with a dress) with one of my kids it ended yo being small so trying on is the def the way to go.
