My baby 20 mos. - great lively kid, developmentally doing beautiful, and sick all the time!
I want advise on any one and all his ailments: he's got hand foot and mouth disease, an ear infection for past 2.5 mos., and a rash on his upper back that looks like psoriasis and won't go away.
Resent History: been to all the docs. they have nothing to say. he's been on antibiotics twice in the past 2 mos. with no avail- for his ears. creams for his back.
further back history: until 5 mos. never got sick once, except for thrush when he was a mo., from 5 mos. sick every 2-3 weeks- but I thought it was bad teething- until all his teeth grow in...got hand foot and mouth disease on and off for a yr. now, usually with mouth sores.
Please help!

Is he home all day, or goes to a babysitter, playgroup, etc?

What does he eat?
He should be taking probiotics daily.

Recurrent hfmd within that short time sounds atypical. Are the drs sure of this diagnosis?

Mouth sores and a rash can be symptoms of celiac disease. Of course, they can be symptoms of a million other things as well. Have you gotten a second opinion from a different doctor?
