We are replacing our very old cabinets with new ones. Also a new sink, faucet, and counter. We already chose the style we want and the cabinet. The company is coming by today for us to finalize the contract...what I need to know is what to include in the contract...like:
Starting date,
Date of completion of job,
Hauling away the trash,
No working on Saturday....
Anything else?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Proof they are licensed and insured?
Do they need a city permit?

Start times/end times, if you're not interested in having them in the house at 7 am or until dinner time.

Dust abatement. Will they be closing off the work areas with plastic sheeting so that the dust doesn't travel throughout the house.
Power tool use, will they be permitted to bring in table saws, power planers and use them indoors? Hand tool use inside is a given.

Permits protect you. From your description you probably don't need a permit unless you're moving or adding a sink, moving wall openings, or doing electrical work.

Definitely ask for a certificate of insurance with you named on it. It's up to you whether you will accept just liability insurance (if they damage your home, their insurance will cover it) or want proof of workers comp also (covers employees of the company if they are injured in your house so you can't get sued).
